New Delhi, October 30: OpenAI is reportedly working towards developing its first in-house AI chip by 2026 to reduce its dependency on external suppliers for AI hardware. The company is said to be collaborating with two of the biggest names in the semiconductor industry, Broadcom and TSMC for the project.
According to reports, OpenAI depends on computing power to train and run its artificial intelligence models. The ChatGPT maker is one of the customers of Nvidia's graphics processing units (GPUs).
