Vivo, the Chinese smartphone brand on Tuesday officially launched a new affordable smartphone in its product line-up for the India consumers. Dubbed as Vivo U10, the smartphone is priced from Rs 8,990 for the base variant. The smartphone will go on sale later this week via Amazon and Vivo's own online store. The smartphone will come in two variants - 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM. The handset will come in two exciting shades - Electric Blue and Thunder Black colours. Specification-wise, the newly launched smartphone comes with a 6.35-inch Halo FullView HD+ display with screen-to-body ratio of 89 percent. The handset also gets a 2.5D curve design with a waterdrop-style notch upfront. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, which is clubbed with a up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal space.

For photography, the smartphone is equipped with a triple rear camera module comprising of 13MP primary shooter along with an 8MP super-wide angle shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. Additionally, the handset comes with an 8MP camera for selfies and video calling. The phone is backed by a massive 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging technology.

The company claims that Vivo U10 is capable of offering 12 hours of YouTube playback or 7 hours of Gaming on a single charge. As a reminder, the smartphone will be retailed online exclusively via and Vivo's official website. The base variant - 3GB RAM + 32GB internal memory is priced at Rs 8,990 whereas the bigger 3GB + 64GB model will cost Rs 9,990. The top-of-the-line model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage is priced at Rs 10,990. As a reminder, the smartphone will be made available for the first sale on September 29. The customers will also receive several launch offers during the sale.
