Xiaomi India is gearing up to launch another smartphone in the Indian market. The Chinese smartphone maker is all set to introduce Redmi 7A handset in India on July 4. This piece of information was confirmed by Xiaomi MD Manu Kumar Jain via Twitter. Flipkart is also quick to upload a dedicated page on the site highlighting the availability of the new Redmi phone through the e-commerce site. Moreover, the handset will also be sold through Mi.com and Mi Home stores alongside e-commerce site. As a reminder, Xiaomi launched Redmi 7A in China this May, which is technically a toned-down version of Redmi 7. The China-spec Redmi 7A is powered by a Snapdragon 439 chipset and gets a 4000 mAh battery. According to the tweet from Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain confirmed that the company will be launching Redmi 7A in India on July 4, 2019. Already launched in China, the handset comes in two storage configurations - 16GB and 32GB onboard storage options. As far as the specifications are concerned, the smartphone will sport a 5.45-inch HD screen with 720X1440p of resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the phone is likely to be powered by an octa-core chipset from Qualcomm, which could be Snapdragon 439 SoC. The chipset will be mated up to 2GB of RAM. For photography, the company will be employing a 13MP sensor at the rear along with an LED flash. At the front, there will be a 5MP shooter for selfies and video calling with AI face unlocking. The smartphone is expected to be offered in two storage options - 16GB and 32GB, wherein both will be offered with memory expansion provision. The connectivity options on the device will be taken care by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and, a Micro-USB port. Additionally, the phone will be backed by a massive 4000 mAh battery.

Lastly, the company will be announcing the India prices for the Redmi 7A in India at the launch event itself. It is believed that the Redmi 7A India prices will be in-line with the China-market prices. The Redmi 7A is priced in China at CNY 549, which is around Rs 5,500 for the entry level variant with 16GB storage. On the other hand, the 32GB internal version costs CNY 599 (approximately Rs. 6,000).
