Court documents detail that Sartor utilised severe physical beatings, including punching and hitting, alongside explicit threats of harm or death directed at the victims and their families. In addition to physical violence, he manipulated drug access to maintain dominance. "Additionally, Sartor compelled one of the victims by giving and withholding drugs in such a way that caused her to fear experiencing opioid withdrawal sickness if she did not comply with his demands," court records state.

Federal officials underscored the gravity of the case and the department's ongoing focus on dismantling human trafficking operations. "Brandon Sartor used violence and fear to compel the two victims to have s*x with dozens of men for his monetary gain," said Assistant Attorney General A. Tysen Duva of the Justice Department's Criminal Division. "His use of violence and threats to terrorize and control vulnerable victims speaks to the depravity of his conduct and the need to hold him accountable for trafficking them. The Criminal Division will continue to stand up for these and other victims of human trafficking."
"This defendant treated human beings as commodities — brutalizing and exploiting vulnerable women for his own profit," said U.S. Attorney Jason A. Sartor is scheduled to be sentenced on November 17. He faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years in prison, with a maximum potential sentence of life imprisonment, alongside lifetime supervised release and mandatory restitution. The investigation was handled jointly by FBI Miami and the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
