Islamabad, April 25: Imran Khan's third marriage with spiritual guide Bushra Maneka could be in trouble as rift between the couple has been widening, according to Pakistani media reports. In what added fresh fuel to the speculations, the dogs 'banished' by Maneka from Khan's home made their way back.

The return of dogs, writes the Times of Islamabad, gives "credence to the rumours". Maneka had ensured the dogs remained out of their palatial house in Islamabad as they "disturbed" her religious activities. However, the canines were again spotted roaming in the lawns of Khan's bungalow earlier in the week.

According to Daily Pakistanthe rift between Khan and Maneka erupted due to the latter's son from previous husband, Khawar Fareen Maneka, living along with them. Khan, ahead of the marriage, had made it clear that none among Maneka's three children would be residing with them.

The speculations of Khan's another failed marriage keeps the political circles of Pakistan buzzing. The cricketer-turned-politician, who heads the Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), is considered to be among the favourites to emerge victorious in the general elections slated later this year.

Khan's first marriage dates back to 1995, when he had tied the knot with British journalist Jemima Goldsmith. The duo separated in 2004, with the custody of Khan's both children being granted to Jemima.

Khan's second marriage with former BBC anchor Reham Khan, in January 2015, lasted only 10 months. The PTI chief married Maneka in February this year. Unlike his previous weddings, Khan got married in a sombre event in Lahore at Maneka's brother's home.
