A coordinated search and rescue operation is underway in the Arabian Sea after a K2 Airways Boeing 737 cargo aircraft disappeared from radar late Tuesday evening. The flight, KTA1732, which was en route from Sharjah, UAE, to Karachi, vanished approximately 300 kilometres west of the port city with five crew members on board.

Disappearance After Navigational Distress

According to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), the aircraft initially reported a navigational system issue at 21:18 PST on Tuesday. Following the loss of contact, authorities activated the Rescue Coordination Centre to manage the emergency response. The search operation has since expanded, incorporating both military and civilian assets to locate the missing plane. The Pakistan Navy has deployed the warship PNS Zulfiqar and the patrol vessel PNS Hunain to the area. Aerial support has been bolstered by a Pakistan Air Force Saab surveillance aircraft and a Navy ATR aircraft operating out of Turbat.
