According to the footage, the landlady objected to the barbecue, claiming she needed to protect her property and alleging that the tenant was attempting to burn it, while the tenant maintained that the mark in question was merely rust.

When the landlady suggested the tenant go to his friend's house instead, the tenant pushed back against the restriction. "I am 50 years old. I can have my friend over for dinner and I pay rent," the tenant told the woman, reports The Times of India. Escalation and Lockout Allegations
Following the initial confrontation, the dispute reportedly escalated significantly. Indoor security camera footage captured the landlady allegedly entering the tenant's unit to change the locks. In another video, she is seen confronting the tenant and appearing to strike him with a stone during an altercation, while stating in the footage that she had contacted the police.
The tenant further alleged that the landlady intentionally cut off the power supply to his unit. It is also reported that the tenant's car was allegedly left covered in scratches.
