Suspects Flee After Setting Vehicle Ablaze

Following the assault, the attackers fled the scene. Security forces later located the pickup truck believed to have been used in the attack about 21 kilometres away. The vehicle had been abandoned and set on fire.

Investigators also reported that the attackers stole several items from the checkpoint, including AK-47 rifles, bulletproof vests and mobile phones belonging to the soldiers. Thai Government Condemns the Incident
