New Delhi, Apr 12 (PTI) Four men were arrested in connection with burglaries in computer shops in southeast Delhi's Nehru Place, the police said today.
On April 9, a man informed police that computer parts were burgled from his shop in Nehru Place. The next morning, a police patrol found Ramesh Kumar Mishra (37) roaming suspiciously in the area, they said.
He was inquired about the reason behind his presence in the area and subsequently he confessed to his involvement in the burglary. On further interrogation, he led the police to his accomplices Shiv Kumar (37), Rashid (25) and Neeraj Tyagi (45), an official said.
Mishra and Kumar revealed that they had been working in Nehru Place for almost 18 years and used to sell, and purchase software and CDs. In order to earn quick money, they started stealing laptops and computer parts, and accessories, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Chinmoy Biswal said.
Rashid and Tyagi used to buy the stolen articles from the duo, he said, adding with their arrest, police have solved three cases of burglaries.
