Lahore, June 6: Dust storm, followed by rainfall, which hit Lahore on Tuesday, has claimed lives of at least four people and left thirteen others wounded.

Among the deceased are two minors and death toll is likely to increase, Geo TV reported, citing the anonymous officials, as saying. Dust storms struck the capital city Islamabad and Lahore.

Lahore's residential areas like Garhi Shahu, Dharampur, Davis Road, Allama Iqbal road, Sahafi Colony, Harbanspura witnessed disrupted electricity due to storms, the report said. The "strong" winds brought to the ground, a slew of trees and left the window panes of a few buildings in the city broken.

Furthermore, the storm is reported to have ravaged two aircrafts belonging to the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). The planes have been grounded and inspected. On Tuesday, Pakistan's Meteorological Department had forecast rainfall for Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore division, the report stated.
