Tokyo, [Japan] Nov 09 (ANI): K-pop group BTS was prevented from airing their show in one of Japan's biggest television stations after one of their members wore a T-shirt that apparently depicted a picture of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki.

The show of the seven-member boy band was pulled down after Jimin wore the T-shirt on Thursday, which commemorated the liberation of Korea from Japanese rule in 1945 with an image of a mushroom cloud over Hiroshima as the background, reported The Hollywood Reporter.

The K-Pop band was scheduled to appear on a popular music station owned by Japanese TV network, TV Asahi, on Friday.

In a statement, the group apologised to their Japanese fans for this sudden cancellation.

In recent times, the relations between South Korea and Japan hit a rough patch after a Korean court held Japanese companies liable for encouraging forced labours during World War-II

Korean music and TV dramas are ruling the roost in the Japanese entertainment market. (ANI)
