New Delhi, Sep 11 (PTI) Delhi's Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam unveiled a statue of B R Ambedkar on the premises of a school in Najafgarh area on Wednesday.

Addressing the students of the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), the minister said Ambedkar is an inspiration for all and the statue will remind students of his struggles and inspire them.

Gautam also inaugurated a newly-built chaupal at Sultanpur Majra which has been funded by the SC/ST department.

The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences is a joint venture of the Delhi government and KISS, Bhuvneshwar. The mission of the institute is to eradicate poverty through educating underprivileged students, a statement said.
