Hyderabad, Jun 8 (PTI) The Telangana government today hosted an iftar event here on the occasion of Ramadan.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, some of his cabinet colleagues, AIMIM president Owaisi, officials and others attended the event.

Speaking on the occasion, rao said the state is on the path of rapid progress.

He also spoke of the welfare measures initiated by his government for minorities, including a building at Ajmer for the benefit of devotees from the state and a convention centre here.
