Handwara (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Nov 11 (ANI): A terrorist who was gunned down by police in Jammu and Kashmir's Handwara town in Kupwara district on Sunday has been identified as a member of terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

The deceased terrorist has been identified as Ishtiaq, a native of Pakistan.

According to Jammu and Kashmir Police, the terrorist was involved in a series of terror attacks on security establishments and many other civilian atrocities in the area.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation in the matter. (ANI)
