Pune, Nov 8 (PTI) Pune district in Maharashtra reported 523 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, taking the overall caseload to 3,28,089, a health official said.
With 11 fatalities, the death toll in the district reached 8,079, he added.
"Of the 523 new cases, 217 were detected in the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) limits, which has recorded 1,63,274 cases so far," the official said.
A total of 259 patients were discharged from the city hospitals during the day.

The infection tally in neighbouring Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) areas went up to 88,802 with 123 new cases, the official said.
