Patna (Bihar) [India], August 23 (ANI): In a major administrative reshuffle, the Bihar government has issued transfer and posting orders for dozens of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across various departments, municipal corporations, and Zila Parishads in the state.

Under the latest bureaucratic rejig, officers returning from training have also been assigned key field postings. Garima Lohia (IAS 2023 batch) has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of the Darbhanga Municipal Corporation, while Aniruddh Pandey has been posted as the Municipal Commissioner of the Purnia Municipal Corporation.

Several officers have been entrusted with key rural development roles across districts. Shreya Shree (IAS 2022 batch) has been posted as the Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer (DDC-cum-CEO) of the Khagaria Zila Parishad. Similarly, Tushar Kumar has been appointed DDC-cum-CEO of the Madhubani Zila Parishad, while Akanksha Anand has been made DDC-cum-CEO of the Rohtas (Sasaram) Zila Parishad.

Among key secretariat and department appointments, Pradyumn Singh Yadav has been named Director of the Directorate of Food Processing under the Department of Industries in Patna, while Anjali Sharma has been assigned charge as Joint Director in the Social Welfare Department. Krishna Gupta has been posted as Joint Inspector General with dual responsibilities in the Transport Department as well as the Registration, Excise, and Prohibition Department.

Additionally, administrative responsibilities in Zila Parishads have been assigned to Rohit Karma in Begusarai, Vijay Kumari Choudhary in Jehanabad, and Dr. Kunwar Mehri in Katihar.Earlier, on August 22, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary noted that prioritising good governance led to the launch of the Sahyog (Cooperation) program. During his initial days as Chief Minister, numerous citizens submitted grievances. Consequently, an effective system was established to ensure time-bound resolution for every application. Out of 6,42,000 applications received so far, 96% have been resolved within a mandatory maximum timeline of 30 days, according to the CM. Strict action and automatic suspension provisions have been instituted too against officials showing negligence or failing to meet deadlines. (ANI)
