Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], August 24 (ANI): Ahead of the upcoming Jaipur Municipal Corporation elections, the Congress party launched its 'Mission 100' campaign on Monday. Announcing the initiative, Jaipur District Congress President Sunil Sharma stated that the campaign aims to win 100 out of a total of 150 seats in the city municipal corporation elections.
Addressing a press conference, Sunil Sharma said that the Congress is preparing not only to serve as a strong opposition but also to come to power in the civic body. Through 'Mission 100', the party is striving to mobilise workers at the booth level and strengthen its overall election campaign.

According to the District Congress President, the party's objective goes beyond merely contesting elections; it aims to engage directly with the people of Jaipur and prominently raise issues concerning local problems and development.
Clarifying the party's strategy regarding ticket distribution for the municipal polls, Sunil Sharma stated that tickets would not be awarded based on personal recommendations or pressure. Instead, the party will prioritise candidates who possess a spirit of service towards Jaipur and have a track record of working closely with the public over a long period.

He added that key criteria for ticket allocation would include a candidate's grassroots connection, public acceptance, dedication to the organisation, and work done in the area. Congress aims to field candidates who can not only win the election but also effectively raise public issues as councillors.
The Congress party has also constituted several committees at the organisational level to prepare for the municipal corporation elections. Senior leaders, including former Cabinet Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas and MLAs Rafiq Khan and Amin Kagzi, have been entrusted with significant responsibilities to accelerate election strategy and preparations.
Through these committees, the party will assess the electoral situation ward-by-ward, identify potential candidates, coordinate with party workers, and formulate election strategies. Congress aims to strengthen the entire process--from ticket distribution to the election campaign at the organisational level.
Sunil Sharma stated that the people of Jaipur desire change, and Congress is entering the municipal elections with the hope of delivering that change. He emphasised that 'Mission 100' is not merely a slogan but reflects the party's definitive electoral goal. (ANI)
