Reasi (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], September 17 (ANI): Reasi Police has registered an FIR against a pony handler for allegedly operating without a valid ID or registration card on the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Yatra Track, police said.

As per the official release, Reasi Police has registered FIR No. 292/2026 under Section 223(a) BNS against Rahul Kumar, son of Sham Lal, resident of Ward No. 09, Arli Hansali, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi, for operating as a pony handler without a valid ID/registration card on the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Yatra Track, within the jurisdiction of Police Post Banganga.

The action was initiated after the pony handler was found operating without the requisite identification or registration card, in violation of the prescribed requirements for pony operators on the Yatra track.

Reasi Police has directed all pony operators and handlers operating on the Yatra track to carry their valid registration or ID cards at all times. Any person found operating without the required registration or ID card will be dealt with strictly as per law.
