Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], June 1 (ANI): Karnataka Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy on Friday directed all officials and government staff to not use mobile phones during his meetings to avoid distraction.

Kumaraswamy, in the order, stated that some officials use cell phones during the meeting, which affects discussions on important matters.

The chief minister said that whenever he calls a meeting, all officials should not bring their mobile phones and hand it over to the coordination official till the meeting was over.

Kumaraswamy's statement comes days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that mobile phones were banned from his meetings because he often found officers checking social media sites in the midst of meetings. (ANI)
