New Delhi, Dec 13 (PTI) The Congress' women wing on Friday organised a solidarity march against "rising" crimes on women in the country.

The protesters raising slogans marched from Mandi House to Jantar Mantar here.

"It is a unity march to walk in solidarity against the rising number of crimes against women and we hope that this issue is not seen as a political issue," said Sushmita Dev, president, All India Mahila Congress.

The march was aimed at boosting the voice of women at a time when they are facing crimes, she said.

The march titled 'I am Courage' was led by several senior women leaders of Congress and its various wings. Various intellectuals, social activists and professionals also took part in the protest.
