Chennai, Apr 26 (PTI) A five-member Russian magic troupe will peform shows here between April 27 and May 13 bringing the latest 3D mapping magic stunts live for the people, an official of an Indo-Russian body said today.

The troupe is led by Alex Black, a Russian magician noted for his range of "magic arsenal," Indo-Russian Cultural and Friendship Society, Secretary General, P Thangappan said.

They are here at the invitation of the Indo-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he told PTI and added "this is the first time a Russian magic troupe is visiting south India since 1991."

The attractions of the show, which will be held at the Russian Cultural Centre here include "3D mapping (a projection technology), big illusions, acrobatics, gymnastics and micromagics," he said.

Russians are noted for professional magic and circus and are taught as regular courses in universities, the Indo-Russian Cultural and Friendship Society official said.
