Batting first, fifties from Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran helped Afghanistan post 148/6. In response, Australia were bowled out for 127 runs in 19.2 overs, courtesy of four wickets from Gulbadin Naib and three from Naveen-ul-Haq. This was Afghanistan's first-ever win over Australia in international cricket.
