New Delhi, Sep 20 (PTI) Celebrated wrestling coach Yashvir Singh, who mentored the likes of Olympic medallists Sushil Kumar and Yogeshwar Dutt, Thursday passed away at a city hospital after a prolonged kidney ailment.
Yashvir was 57.
He had a stroke three years back, according to family sources.
Yashvir was a Dronocharya awardee and a national coach also.
Yashvir was associated with freestyle wrestling for over three decades and he was instrumental in guiding Sushil to podium finishes in back-to-back Olympic Games (2008, 2012) as well as the world title in 2010. PTI
