New 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift finally broke covers on Monday at an event in Bangalore with a starting price of Rs. 8.19 lakh (ex-showroom). Offered in both petrol and diesel options with AMT gearbox as an option, the top-end variant of the new Ciaz attracts a price tag of Rs. 10.97 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has already started dispatching the new Ciaz as the sedan was spotted at stockyard ahead of launch. The new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz comes with the updated exterior front featuring chrome-finished grille, new LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, restyled front & rear bumpers, 16-inch alloy wheels, new LED tail lamps and more. Dimensionally, the new Maruti Ciaz 2018 measures 4490mm in length, 1485mm in height and 1730mm in width and the wheelbase stands at 2650mm. Inside the cabin, the sedan is loaded with premium interiors enhancing the overall appeal of the cabin. It also gets a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. The leather upholstery of the sedan enhances comfort level and convenience. Feature-wise, the car is loaded with features such as automatic headlamps, leather seats, rear parking camera, rear defogger and more. As far as the safety features are concerned, the car gets dual airbags with ABS and EBD as standard.
Coming to the powertrain options, the new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz continues to be offered in both petrol and diesel engines. While the petrol engine is a new K15 engine, the DDiS 200 diesel engine remains unchanged. The former is capable of generating 103bhp of max power and 138Nm of peak torque, while the 1.3-litre oil burner produces maximum power of 89bhp and 200Nm of torque. Transmission duties are carried out by a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard along with an optional AMT.
