Toyota Kirloskar Motor is set to officially launch the 2026 Glanza facelift in India tomorrow, October 14. Coming nearly a month after the debut of the updated Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the refreshed hatchback will enter the market with revised styling, extra convenience features, and a new fuel-efficient powertrain.

Official teasers confirm significant visual updates to the vehicle's front profile. As per a report by NDTV, the updated model moves the Toyota brand logo from the front grille directly to the bonnet edge, alongside a redesigned grille, revised bumper detailing, and new rectangular fog lamps. Hyundai Bayon Unveiled in India, Bookings Open at INR 11,000 Ahead of Launch.

Updated Interiors and Safety Tech Enhancements

Inside, the 2026 Glanza retains its layered dashboard layout while adding high-tier cabin features. Expected additions include ventilated front seats, a cooled wireless charging pad, and an upgraded sound system. The current 9-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control, and connected car features are expected to remain standard on higher variants.

The most significant tech upgrade is the potential inclusion of Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The suite is expected to feature adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and automatic high-beam assist. Safety is further augmented by six airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, and a tyre-pressure monitoring system.

Engine Performance and Market Competitors

Under the bonnet, the outgoing 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine is slated to be replaced by Maruti Suzuki's 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine. The unit produces 83 hp and 112 Nm of torque, offering enhanced overall fuel economy despite a slight reduction in output. Transmission choices will continue with a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT, with factory-fitted CNG variants also expected. Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition 2026 Launched at INR 36.51 Lakh.

Upon release, the updated hatchback will resume competition with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20, and Tata Altroz in the Indian market.
