New Delhi, August 9: Hyundai Motor is preparing for the biggest transformation of its best-selling mid-size SUV in India, with the third-generation Creta scheduled to debut in mid-2027. The upcoming vehicle marks a major milestone since the model first entered showrooms a decade prior, bringing a completely overhauled engineering and design philosophy.
The upcoming SUV transitions to a brand-new platform to deliver enhanced dimensions and improved structural rigidity. The next-generation Hyundai Creta is built on the new K3 platform, featuring a larger body structure with increased length and muscular proportions. Under the hood, it is expected to offer petrol, CNG, and hybrid variants powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, alongside a pure electric variant, while phasing out the older diesel motor.
The interior adopts a horizontal dashboard layout housing a 9.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a free-standing 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system running Android Automotive OS.
