Audi, the German luxury car maker has officially launched the new Q8 flagship SUV in India. Launched at Rs 1.33 crore (ex-showroom), Virat Kohli became the first owner of the ultra luxury vehicle in India. The model comes as a CBU product and it takes on Range Rover Sport, Porsche Cayenne Coupe, BMW X6 and the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe. On the exterior front, the newly launched Audi Q8 comes with octagonal shaped grille, LED headlamps, 22-inch alloy wheels, frame-less doors, silver skid plates, LED tail lights, LED light bar running the length of the boot-lid and exhaust tips integrated into the rear bumper. The character of the car is enhanced by the pronounced air fenders.

On the inside, the Audi Q8 sports fully digital virtual cockpit, flat bottom steering wheel, dual touchscreens incorporated on the centre console. While the primary touchscreen unit sports the infotainment system, the secondary unit is equipped for climate control system. On the safety front, the SUV is equipped with Audi Pre-Sense basic package, 8 Airbags, electronic stabilization program and more.

The SUV comes powered by a 3.0-litre TFSI petrol engine that is tuned to make 340 hp of maximum power against peak torque of 500 Nm. This engine comes mated to an 8-speed tiptronic transmission sending power to all four wheels via the Quattro all-wheel-drive unit. The flagship SUV is capable of hitting 100kmph in just 5.9 seconds.

As far as the first owner of the SUV is concerned, Virat Kohli also own supercars like the Q7, Audi RS5, Audi RS6, A8 L, R8 V10 LMX, Bentley Continental GT & Range Rover Vogue.
