New Delhi, July 11: Kia set to bring a new electric vehicle (EV) in India with the launch of the Kia Carens Clavis EV on July 15, 2025. The company recently shared a teaser on X (formerly Twitter), calling it “a new way to go the distance. Together.” The upcoming EV will likely focus on practicality and family comfort, as it is teased as “true 7-seater comfort”.
Kia has not revealed the full features yet. However, reports suggest that the Kia Carens Clavis EV might come with a design quite similar to the Carens Clavis ICE model, with a few changes to set it apart. Customers can expect some changes at the front, which may include updated fog lamps and a new grille. The charging port will be positioned at the centre of the front bumper. Kia has reportedly taken a major step towards electric mobility in India by developing a new EV ecosystem ahead of its upcoming launch. As per a report of Financial Express, it is said to be K-Charge platform to simplify EV ownership for Kia customers. It is integrated within the MyKia app, and it reportedly offers access to over 11,000 charging points in India in partnership with 18 leading Charge Point Operators (CPOs).
Kia Carens Clavis EV price in India will be revealed at the launch event, but as per reports, the EV price may start with INR 19 lakh and is likely to reach up to INR 24 lakh for the top variant. Kia has also hinted at smart technology and modern features that may offer a new driving experience for Indian customers looking at EV options. Kia Carens Clavis EV Specifications and Features (Expected)
As per reports, the Kia Carens Clavis EV is likely to be offered in two battery variants. One may include a 51.4kWh pack, possibly delivering a range of around 490 KM, while the other could feature a 42kWh battery with an estimated range of 390 KM. The smaller battery might be combined with a 135 hp motor, and the larger one could be paired with a 171 hp motor.
