In a bid to increase the soaring sales figures, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer - KTM launched the eagerly awaited the new 125 Duke Motorcycle in India. Dubbed as baby Duke, the motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.18 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable bike from the bike manufacturer in the domestic market. The company have been taking bookings for the new 125 Duke for a month now. Unlike the international model (which shares styling with 390 Duke), the new 125 Duke Motorcycle takes design cues from the KTM 200 Duke. Powering the baby Duke is a 125cc liquid-cooled engine that is tuned to make 14.3 bhp of maximum power @ 9250 rpm and 12Nm @8000 rpm. The power figires are better than what we see on the Bajaj Pulsar 150. The unit comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Dimensionally, the new Duke 125 motorcycle measures 1993mm in length, 789mm in width and 1083mm in height. Weighing 148 kg approximately, the motorcycle comes with a 10.2-litre fuel tank.

The new 125cc motorcycle from KTM is offered in three exciting shades - orange, white and black. Moreover, the bike comes with orange painted alloy wheels. For deceleration, the bike comes fitted with 300mm front disc brake and 230mm rear disc brake. Moreover, the bike also carries similar parts as that of sibling (Duke 200), featuring trellis frame, 43mm USD fork and an adjustable monoshock and much more. Aesthetically, the new 125cc looks pretty similar to the 200 Duke featuring Split headlamp and stubby tail design. Though the motorcycle doesn't have any direct rival. However, considering the price point, it will be pitted against Yamaha R15 V3.0, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V ABS and the Bajaj Pulsar NS200. (All prices Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
