Porsche is preparing to expand its luxury electric vehicle portfolio in India with the official market launch of the Cayenne Electric scheduled for September 30. The premium performance SUV will be introduced in two distinct trims, namely the Standard and the high-output Turbo Electric, carrying an initial price tag starting at INR 1.77 crore.

As per a report by autoX, the incoming model merges traditional sports car dynamics with large utility vehicle proportions. Underpinning the vehicle is a 113kWh high-capacity battery paired with a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive architecture. The Standard variant develops 402bhp alongside 835Nm of torque, achieving a driving range of up to 642 km. Meanwhile, the flagship Turbo Electric produces a massive 1,140 bhp and 1,150 Nm of torque, sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. Both versions feature adaptive air suspension as standard equipment, complemented by advanced regenerative braking capable of recovering up to 600kW of energy.
