243 Km Claimed Range

The 3.7 kWh version has a claimed range of 171 km, while the 2.7 kWh and 2.2 kWh versions offer claimed ranges of 132 km and 110 km, respectively. The higher variants use a 6.4 kW electric motor and can reach a claimed top speed of 90 km/h. The 2.2 kWh version uses a 4.5 kW motor and has a claimed top speed of 70 km/h.
Simple Wave Specifications
The scooter gets a 920 mm-long seat, 775 mm seat height and 175 mm ground clearance. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels and uses a telescopic front fork with rear shock absorption.
Braking duties are handled by a front disc and rear drum setup, with combined braking support. Traction control is also available as part of the scooter's electronic safety features. The Wave is designed around family use, with a broad floorboard and seating intended to accommodate both the rider and pillion comfortably.
70-Litre Storage Capacity
Practicality is one of the key features of the new electric scooter. Simple Energy claims up to 70 litres of storage, giving the Wave a significant focus on everyday utility.
The scooter also gets additional storage compartments on the body panels, including a quick-access side compartment. These spaces are intended for smaller everyday items.
Features and Technology
Higher variants receive a 7-inch TFT instrument console, while lower versions use an LCD display. Smartphone connectivity enables functions such as turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts and music controls.
The Wave also offers features such as hill-hold assist, reverse mode, crawl mode, traction control, theft alerts, tow alerts, geo-fencing and time-fencing, depending on the variant.
Simple Energy's connected features also include functions designed to help owners locate and monitor the scooter through the company's connected ecosystem.
Colours and Design
Unlike the sharper styling of Simple Energy's One range, the Wave gets a more conventional, boxier design aimed at family buyers. It is offered in colours including Pearl White, Coral Red, Twilight Black, Polar Blue, Dolphin Grey and Forest Green.
Simple Wave Rivals
The Simple Wave enters a crowded electric scooter market and will compete with models such as the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Hero Vida and Ather's family-oriented offerings. The recently launched Ather Konarc is also positioned in the affordable family scooter space. Simple Energy's key differentiators are its claimed 243 km maximum range, 70-litre storage capacity and multiple battery configurations.
Deliveries From September 25
Simple Energy is scheduled to begin deliveries of the Wave from September 25, 2026. The launch gives the company a more accessible product aimed at customers looking for an electric scooter for daily commuting and family use.
The scooter's real-world range, charging performance and ownership experience will be important factors as it enters a segment with several established competitors. The Wave's combination of price, storage and claimed range gives Simple Energy a broader proposition beyond its existing performance-oriented electric scooters.
