Suzuki Motorcycle India officially announced its transition from BS4 to BS6 products from early next year. The two-wheeler manufacturer has formally confirmed the Suzuki Access 125 will be its first product that will be introduced in compliance with the new emission norms kicking-in by April next year. Powering the new Suzuki Access 125 scooter will be an updated BS6 engine with Suzuki's Eco Performance Technology that will be tuned to make 8.7PS of maximum power @ 6750 rpm against 10Nm @ 5500 rpm. The BS6 version of Access 125 is claimed to offer top-class power performance at low fuel consumption.
As far as the comfort is concerned, the updated Access 125 comes with an extended seat, enlarged floorboard with more significant under-seat storage and simple start system. Additionally, the company claims that the scooter is designed to proffer premium appeal along with luxurious bodywork, edgy lines, LED tail lamp and chrome plate finish that adds character to the scooter. The company has also confirmed that USB DC socket will be offered as standard on the new Special Edition model for charging the smartphone.
It is important to note that the company hasn't announced the official prices of the Suzuki Access 125 yet. The BS6 Suzuki Access 125 scooter will be launched in the country by January 2020. Moreover, the Suzuki Access 125 is the best-selling scooter under the 125cc segment in India. And, the BS6 version of the model is expected to keep attracting customers from the market. When launched, the Access 125 scooter will take on TVS NTorq 125, Honda Grazia and Suzuki Burgman Street.
