Powering the SUV will be all-new 2.0-litre turbocharged Kyrotec unit which is derived from Fiat's Multijet engine. The unit will be tuned to make 140 bhp of maximum power with peak torque of 320 Nm. Several reports also hint that the unit could be seen in higher state of tune - 170 bhp and 350 Nm. The company will be rolling the diesel iteration on the initial stage and the petrol version will follow later on. When launched in India, the SUV will lock horns against Hyundai Creta and Jeep Compass.
