Triumph Motorcycles has officially expanded its mid-capacity lineup in India with the launch of the all-new Tracker 400. Priced at INR 2,46,225 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the flat-track-inspired motorcycle debuts alongside a revamped 400-series range. In a strategic move to navigate India's tax regulations, the Tracker 400 - and its siblings - now features a downsized 349cc liquid-cooled engine, allowing the brand to benefit from a lower 18 per cent GST bracket compared to the previous 40cc+ category. Despite the name, the "400" branding remains a staple of the series' identity.

Performance and Engineering
While the displacement has been adjusted to 349cc via a shortened stroke, the Tracker 400 maintains a high state of tune similar to the new Thruxton 400. The engine produces 40 PS of power at 8,750 rpm and 32 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. To support its "tracker" persona, the bike features a dedicated chassis setup for sharper handling. It is equipped with 43mm upside-down (USD) big piston forks and a gas-charged rear monoshock, both offering 140mm of travel. It rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with block-pattern MRF REVZ FD1 tyres, designed for a "connected" feel in urban conditions.
Technology and Safety of Tracker 400
Triumph has equipped the Tracker 400 with a comprehensive electronics suite to appeal to both enthusiast and novice riders.
Standard features include:
- Safety: Dual-channel ABS and switchable traction control.
- Convenience: A torque-assist clutch for lighter lever action and a USB-C charging port.
- Instrumentation: A single-pod analogue speedometer complemented by a digital inset for gear position, fuel level, and trip data. Triumph 350cc Range Engine Specifications Leaked; Launch on April 6.
The launch of the Tracker 400 is part of a broader 2026 update for the Triumph-Bajaj partnership. By shifting to the 349cc platform, Triumph has successfully lowered the entry price for several models, including the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X.According to Manik Nangia, President of Probiking at Bajaj Auto, the 400 range has already seen over 1 lakh units on Indian roads. The introduction of the Tracker 400 aims to capitalise on this momentum by offering a "stripped-back, sporty attitude" that targets a younger demographic of riders looking for style without compromising on modern engineering.
