Love him or hate him, you really can't just ignore Akshay Kumar's magnanimity when it comes to his social initiatives. Sure, most of them are always linked to his films, like creating more awareness for sanitary napkins (Pad Man) or for creating more toilets in rural areas (Toilet - Ek Prem Katha). The point is, though, that even if you accuse them of being promotional gimmicks, they are still benefitting people and Akshay Kumar deserves the goodwill for that. Like how his initiative 'Bharat Ke Veer' app is benefiting the kin of the martyred soldiers who died in the line of action. Bharat Ke Veer Trust Formed By Ministry Of Home Affairs, Akshay Kumar, Pullela Gopichand Included As Trustees.

Now recently, Akshay Kumar once again gave an opportunity for us to be in awe of his big heart. He has donated about Rs 1 crore for the flood-affected victim of Bihar. As you might be aware, the state was recently deluged with heavy rainfall and resulting floods. This caused the deaths of over 130 persons, and lakhs being displaced. Bihar Floods: State Disaster Management Authority Says Over 7 Lakh Families, 15 Districts Affected; Announces Rs 6,000 Gratuitous Relief to Each Family.

Akshay Kumar's gesture of Rs 1 crore will definitely help the families in one way or the other. As per industry tracker, Ramesh Bala, the star is giving Rs 4 lakhs to 25 families affected by floods. Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan has contributed Rs 51 lakh towards Chief Minister Relief Fund for the same cause.

On the professional front, Akshay Kumar is on the verge of scoring another big hit with his latest release, Housefull 4. The movie, also starring Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde and Kriti Kharbanda, has earned Rs 87.78 crore at the box office, and is all set to cross Rs 100 crore by Tuesday.
