Pooja Bedi's daughter and Kabir Bedi's granddaughter Alaya F is making her Bollywood debut in Saif Ali Khan and Tabu starrer Jawaani Jaaneman. We chatted with Alaya about the film that brings a variety of taboo topics such as bearing a love child, teenage pregnancy and gender fluidity to the fore in a fun and a slice-of-life manner. "Saif Ali Khan is NOT playing my sugar daddy in this fun film as many would assume," insists Alaya.
"I was shocked to see some comments on social media where many assumed that Saif Ali Khan is playing my sugar daddy. He is playing my dad, that's about it. The film is not dark at all. In fact, its a slice-of-life take on the way complex urban relationships function and their dynamics," added the young actor. About her esteemed lineage Alaya maintains that most people she meets fall into two straight categories. " The men I meet talk about my mother's hot and bold quotient and the women I meet tell me how hot my grandfather is, But I want to be know for my acting skills.
