Controversies always find their way to Mika Singh. Or Mika Singh always finds his way to controversies. At this point in time, we are not even sure. But the latest storm that Bollywood popular singer found himself at the thick of got him banned from the industry. The singer had performed at a wedding in Pakistan amidst the prime of geopolitical tension. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) imposed a ban on Mika Singh and warned Bollywood against working with him. Today, FWICE revoked the ban on him.

Ashoke Pandit, the chief advisor of FWICE, said at a press conference in Mumbai, “We were in shock that Mika performed in Pakistan and at a time when India is bleeding due to Pakistan, such an approach on part of Indian artists is not acceptable. We are taking back the circular to ban Mika Singh.” FWICE Threatens To Ban Salman Khan Too If He Works With Mika Singh.

Mika also apologised for his action but not without an explanation. “This was a commitment signed long back. The timing was wrong that I went there as the decision on Article 370 has just been taken. I called the federation and told that this was by mistake. I apologise for the mistake. I got a visa so I went. If you get a visa, you would go too,"

During the press con, Mika also got into an argument with a journo. "A few months ago Neha Kakkar, Sonu Nigam & Atif Aslam did a show. Why didn't you say anything then? Why am I being singled out? Is it that you'll ask me and it'll make the news?" he said. We are looking forward to seeing if other associations also lift the ban on Mika.
