Amid the success of Sanju, Ranbir is now in a fresh legal controversy. The actor got sued for Rs 50 lakhs for allegedly not honouring the terms of the rental agreement of his tenant. The Bollywood star had let out his plush apartment in Trump Towers, located in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar on lease. However, the tenant, unhappy with the star’s behavior, sued him big time. Sheetal Surywanshi, who moved in the apartment on the leave and license basis has sued the filmstar for allegedly evicting her much before the lock-in period as written in the agreement.

As reported in Mumbai Mirror, a suit filed earlier says, “In said notice (email), it was falsely informed by the defendant (Ranbir) that he wants to shift into the said premises, and for this reason, plaintiff (Suryawanshi) was asked to vacate the premises in contravention of the terms and conditions of the leave and license agreement.”

However, the 35-year-old actor has refuted all the rumors and filed his response in the Pune civil court stating, “Plaintiff cannot unilaterally change, modify or interpret leave and license agreement to suit her convenience.” He also stated that Suryavanshi left the apartment as per her own free will. The case will be heard next on August 28. On the work front, Ranbir will be next seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra along with Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy.
