Salman Khan's Dabangg 3 is struggling to perform well at the box office. While its collections are good but they surely could have been greater, considering it's a Salman movie. The movie directed by Prabhudeva is the actor's ninth-highest opener after Bharat, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sultan and other five releases. After collecting a decent amount of Rs 24. 50 crore on its day one (all versions), the movie minted around Rs 24.75 crore on its first Saturday. The trade didn't witness any substantial rise in the film's collection and this is bound to affect its lifetime business. Salman Khan’s Film Dabangg 3 Trimmed On Day 2 By 9 Minutes and 40 Seconds.

Popular trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to reveal Saturday figures of Dabangg 3 that were in the same range as its opening day figures. "#Dabangg3 stays in the same range on Day 2... Few circuits up, few down... Protests hit biz hard... Loses approx ₹ 7.5 cr to ₹ 9 cr in 2 days... Biz should see a turnaround on Day 3 [Sun]... Fri 24.50 cr, Sat 24.75 cr. Total: ₹ 49.25 cr. India biz. Note All versions," he tweeted while sharing the box office update. Dabangg 3 Movie Review: Salman Khan Struts His Way Through a Brittle Prequel/Sequel That Isn’t ‘Dabangg’ Enough to Change the Formula.

The ongoing nationwide protests against CAA and NRC should be partially blamed for affecting the film's business. Hopefully, the collection will see a growth on its first Sunday and later on Christmas that falls on Wednesday. As Rani Mukerji's Mardaani 2 continues to run successfully and Akshay Kumar's Good Newwz marching in on next Friday, let's hope Dabangg 3 is able to mint in good numbers for a decent lifetime total.
