Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter's Dhadak is surely working wonders at the box office. We reported to you earlier how the film managed to beat Student Of The Year's opening day collections. It has now even beaten the film's weekend collections. An ecstatic Karan Johar took to social media to announce that the film has collected Rs. 33.67 crore over the weekend. The film made Rs. 13.92 crore on Day 3, Rs. 11.04 crore on Day 2 and Rs. 8.71 crore on the first day. Student Of The Year had collected approximately Rs. 30 crore on its opening weekend, which makes Dhadak a bigger success than the Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra film.

However, these numbers are the business that the film has made in India and not overseas. The overseas numbers haven't come in yet. But today is one of the most important days for the film at the box office. We wonder if Dhadak will pass the Monday litmus test or not. Trade experts had predicted that Janhvi and Ishaan's film will cross Rs. 30 crore in the opening weekend. Whether the film enters the Rs. 100 crore club or not, only time will tell but we are sure that the cast is already planning a success party.

That's a wonderful achievement for the team! Dhadak got mixed reviews from critics. Though Ajay-Atul managed to spin magic in recreating Sairat's musical charm. Janhvi and Ishaan are definitely over the moon looking at the box office figures. It's great to see these two newcomers shine in their debut film itself. What are your thoughts on this? Tell us in the comments below and stay tuned with us for more updates on the film.
