Luka Chuppi has turned out to be one of the more profitable films of 2019. Starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon in the lead, Luka Chuppi is directed by Laxman Utekar. The moderately budgeted film has raked in more than Rs 90 crore at the domestic box office, despite getting average reviews. While the success of the film established how audiences are more receptive the small town romcoms, it also cemented the commercial viability of its lead stars. Luka Chuppi Box Office Collection: Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon's Romantic Comedy Earns Rs 94.15 Crore.

However, the success of the film is ruining some friendships in the film. As per a report in DNA, it is speculated that the lead stars, Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan are not on speaking terms with each other. Apparently, Kriti feels that Kartik has been taking all the credit for the success of the film and is refusing to acknowledge other's contributions.

The publication quotes a source close to the development, saying, "Kriti and some of the people around her were of the opinion that Kartik was trying to hijack the success of the movie. They felt that the actor was making it seem like he was the sole contributor to the success and that others like the director and leading lady were significantly unimportant to the process."

The same report also mentions another source who revealed the cold war going on between the stars. It said, "What started as niggling unhappiness soon took the form of extended silence. It’s been conjectured that Kriti did her own damage control by getting herself covered in the media because she had a parallel role to Kartik in the film. And, as such, she should also get equal credit." Is Kartik Aaryan Keeping SKTKS Co-Star Sunny Singh’s Career From Taking Off?

Interestingly, Kartik Aaryan had also faced similar allegations after the success of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Apparently his co-stars then, Sunny Singh and Nushrat Bharucha, were unhappy that he got most of the glory of the film's success. Kartik Aaryan will be seen next opposite Soha Ali Khan in Love Aaj Kal 2 and with Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday in Pati, Patni Aur Woh remake.
