We are not sure if Kangana Ranaut would apologise for the journalist spat, but her producer did so. Ekta Kapoor and her production house Balaji Telefilms have issued an apology note for the untoward incident that happened during the song launch of Judgementall Hai Kya. The movie's lead actress, Kangana Ranaut, had gotten into a verbal spat with a PTI journalist, Justin Rao. She had accused him of having a smear campaign against her film Manikarnika, while the latter denied that any such thing happened. Producer Ekta Kapoor and actor Rajkummar Rao were also present at the venue when the incident happened. Kangana Ranaut Gets into a Heated Argument With a Journalist at Judgemental Hai Kya Song Launch.

With the fight snowballing into something huge, the Entertainment Journalists' Guild of India wrote a letter to Ekta Kapoor conveying their decision to boycott Kangana Ranaut during the promotional events of Judgementall Hai Kya, but not the movie itself. This prompted Ekta and Balaji to issue the below apology note. Jugdementall Hai Kya Producers Balaji Telefilms Issues Apology over Kangana Ranaut’s Behaviour at Song Launch Event.

Ekta Kapoor's Tweet on Kangana Ranaut Incident:

It is interesting to note here how the apology note mentions the journalist's name, but refers to Kangana Ranaut as 'the Judgementall Hai Kya's actor'. What's up with the selective naming, Ekta?

It is not sure if the Guild would consider Ekta's apology to ignore the whole incident, as they were quite adamant that Kangana should be the one apologising.

To add insult to the damage, Kangana's sister and manager, Rangoli Chandel, took to Twitter to call out on the boycott, viciously at that. She also reiterates that Kangana would never be apologising for the incident while claiming that her sister would be exposing the so-called 'paid media' very soon.
