Faissal Khan Issues Apology to Aamir Khan and Family for Public Remarks Against Them
Faissal Khan, known for his role alongside Aamir in the 2000 film Mela, addressed his previous grievances in a recent interview with Ujjwal Trivedi, expressing deep regret for airing family matters publicly. "I want to first apologise to my mother. I want to apologise to Nikhat. I'd like to apologise to Santosh. I also apologise to Aamir," Faissal stated, naming his mother, sister Nikhat, and brother-in-law Santosh Hegde, in addition to Aamir Khan.
He further elaborated on his remorse, acknowledging that his actions stemmed from a place of anger and pain. "In anger and pain, I said many things that I should never have said. I should not have spoken about those things in public. I should have sat down with my family and discussed them." Faissal also revealed that a newfound perspective, significantly influenced by his reading of the Holy Quran, led him to prioritise peace and reconciliation over proving past points. "I decided to forget whatever anyone had done. Saving relationships is more important."
His apology marks a stark contrast to his earlier public allegations, where he claimed his family had kept him under house arrest for a year and wrongly implied mental instability. At the time, Faissal had also asserted he was administered incorrect medication and had severed ties with his kin, rejecting a monthly allowance from his brother. However, he now states, "I don't want any answers anymore. I don't want to prove that I am right and someone else is wrong. More than the truth, I want peace. I want harmony with my family."
