After a great first half of 2018 when it comes to Bollywood box office, things are just heating up in the coming months. Yes, Salman Khan has done away with his Eid quota, Race 3, and we are about to get Ranbir Kapoor glamourising Sanjay Dutt's life in his biopic, Sanju.  But the excitement doesn't end here.

The third quarter of 2018 has not only some very interesting movies to watch, but also some very exciting clashes at the box office. The biggest of them all will come on August 15 when three biggies - Gold, Satymeva Jayate and Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se -  are having a tussle for the screens. But that's not the only clash. In this feature, we look at eight such big clashes that are happening in the next three months and predicting who can emerge as the winner in the clash!

Dhadak vs Ant-Man & The Wasp

Predicted winner: Normally it would have been an open field for Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor's Sairat remake. But seeing how tremendously well Avengers Infinity War has performed in India earlier this year, there is a huge hype riding on Marvel's latest movie. So this can be a tough call, but I guess Dhadak would have a lead thanks to the intrigue factor about the star kids and whether Karan Johar has screwed up Sairat or not!

Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 vs Mulq

Predicted winner:  Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3, for being a part of a critically acclaimed, successful franchise and riding on Sanjay Dutt's stardom.

Fanney Khan vs Karwaan

Predicted winner: This is a tough call, since both movies are on equal footing. Fanney Khan rides on the star-power of Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao, while Karwaan has the whole curiosity factor about Irrfan Khan (whose comedies go well with audience) and Dulquer Salmaan's debut.

Gold vs Satyamev Jayate vs Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se

Predicted winner:  This is the toughest of the clashes in this period. We are sure one of the movies will back out and I am placing my bets on the Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby Deol-starrer YPD3 to do so. As for the remaining two movies, I would choose Akshay Kumar's Gold thanks to its scintillating promos.

Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi vs Genius vs Laila Majnu

Predicted winner: It is a tough race, but I would give Sonakshi Sinha and Diana Penty's Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi an edge, because it is a sequel to a sleeper hit and has popular faces in the cast.

Batti Gul Meter Chalu vs Stree  vs Andhadhun vs Rajma Chawal

Predicted winner:  It would be Batti Gul Meter Chalu, thanks to Shahid Kapoor's star-power and that it is a completely commercial affair. But there could be a chance that the movie might get delayed. The other three movies have to build up on good reviews to lead the race.

Drive vs Paltan vs Manmarziyan

Predicted winner:  Thanks to rumours of reshoots happening, we are not sure if Drive would make it to the release date. But if it does, it would take the lead with Sushant Singh Rajput, Jacqueline Fernandez's commercial viability and Dharma Productions' backing. JP Dutta's multi-starrer Paltan could be a close competitor because it is a long time since we had a good war movie. Manmarziyan, touted as Abhishek Bachchan's comeback, will need good promos and reviews to build up.

Sui Dhaaga vs Pataakha

Predicted winner: Thanks to Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma's star clout (and YRF's backing), Sui Dhaaga could get a big lead. But knowing Vishal Bhardwaj's cinematic sensibility, Pataakha, starring Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan, can grow strong on word-of-mouth publicity.
