As most of the Bollywood fanatics are busy conversing about the clash between Padmaavat and Padman, John Abraham is quietly preparing for his big film. Abhishek Sharma directed Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran starring John Abraham and Diana Penty is all set to hit the screens on February 23, 2018. However, what’s interesting is that the makers are keen to organize a special screening for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The experimental nuclear bombings conducted by Indian Army in 1998 is considered as one of the historic events of the nation and this will be now shown through the flick.

Although there is no official announcement about the special screening of this ambitious project for PM Modi, the reports say that it is going to be a confidential event. A source revealed to the Quint, “Since this film has a tremendous political relevance even today John and his producer Prernaa Arora are very keen to show Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran to the Prime Minister.” It is still unknown whether the PM has given his approval for the same.

Meanwhile, a couple of films got postponed due to the sudden announcement Padmaavat release on January 25. There were also reports that this has affected the release of Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran as well. But producer Prernaa Arora revealed, “There are rumors and false reports that we are not releasing on February 23. Just because we shifted our other February release Pari to March doesn’t mean our production house Kriarj is moving Parmanu as well. We are releasing Parmanu on February 23, come what may.” The flick will lock horns with Sonakshi Sinha starrer Boom Boom In New York and Rani Mukerji starrer Hichki.
