The actor, who is sailing high with the success of her recent release Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, recently spoke at a media event. Never been short of controversial and flashy statements, the Tanu Weds Manu actor gave yet another shocking revelation about how Bollywood has never supported her during her film’s release. At the event, the media fraternity pondered about how B-town celebs are promoting and talking about the films of other actors. Kangana was asked whether she expects the same in her case. The actor being her usual self, gave a no-filter reply to this statement. According to a report published in PinkVilla, the Simran actor said, “I’m 31 and a filmmaker, I don’t need anyone to promote me. I have won multiple National Film Awards, so I don’t need them to promote me or my film.”

Stirring the subject more, she further added, “These people should be ashamed of themselves. Some of them are my grandfather’s age. And these Bollywood, I used to call out them for small things like nepotism, sexism and pay parity but, now I will get after their lives. I’ll expose each and every one of them. The Fashion star has hit the headlines since the beginning of her career. Kangana also managed to raise eyebrows ahead of the release of her flick Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, for all the wrong reasons. On one hand, where director Krish left the project mid-way, actor Sonu Sood too walked out after a tussle with Kangana, on the other. Mishti Chakravarty, who is also a part of the film, recently slammed actor for chopping off everyone’s role in the film. Despite the controversies, Manikarnika garnered mixed responses and is doing moderately well at the box-office.
