Kareena Kapoor Khan would be seen as the leading lady in Aamir Khan’s upcoming flick Laal Singh Chaddha, remake of the Hollywood classic, Forrest Gump. Fans of the actress were surprised to know that she had to audition for the film. Kareena has worked with Aamir before in 3 Idiots and Talaash. Then why she had to give an audition? Kareena told PTI, “Laal Singh Chaddha is possibly the only film in my career I’ve auditioned for. In an interview to Mid-Day, gorgeous Kareena Kapoor Khan emphasised on why Aamir Khan must have asked her to audition for the role in Laal Singh Chaddha. She was quoted as saying, “I wouldn't have agreed to do this for anyone except Aamir. He is a genius, and he would want to do the best for his film. If he asked me to audition, it is only because he knew I was perfect for the part. But he wanted to be sure of what he was seeing in me. Kareena Kapoor Khan also mentioned, “He wanted me to read two scenes with him. The minute I did the reading, I knew I had bagged the part. I have an amazing chemistry with Aamir that comes alive [on screen] the minute we get together.” Directed by Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha is all set to be released next year on the occasion of Christmas. The film will be produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions along with Viacom18 Motion Pictures.
