Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon’s first film together Luka Chuppi has performed so well that it has exceeded everyone’s expectations including of the trade experts. The romantic comedy, which is directed by Laxman Utekar, came out on March 1 and mostly garnered good reviews. The film then took a solid opening and ended up becoming Kartik’s biggest opener. That’s not all! Luka Chuppi is also his highest week 1 grosser to date. And now the rom-com is eyeing for an excellent figure to end its succesful run in theatres. Luka Chuppi Box Office Collection Day 15: Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon's Film Fares Well on its Third Friday, Rakes in Rs 76.86 Crore.
Just a while back, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and announced the updated figures. He wrote, “#LukaChuppi gathers momentum on [third] Sat... Should witness brisk biz on [third] Sun, which is a norm these days... ₹ 85 cr+ *lifetime biz* seems a possibility... [Week 3] Fri 1.62 cr, Sat 2.25 cr. Total: ₹ 79.11 cr. India biz."
Though Kartik and Kriti’s film wasn’t a solo release, it still managed to draw the audience to the cinema halls. Luka Chuppi arrived in theatres alongside Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar’s Sonchiriya but the latter failed to impress the masses despite receiving rave reviews from the critics. Luka Chuppi Box Office Collection Day 14: Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon's Romantic Comedy is a HIT, Rakes in Rs 75.24 Crore.
Apart from Utekar’s directorial venture, few more films are currently running in cinema halls and surprisingly all of them are raking in big moolah. While Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer Badla will enter the Rs 50 crore club today, Hollywood superhero flick Captain Marvel has already hit the half century at the Indian box office. Ajay Devgn’s multi-starrer adventure comedy Total Dhamaal is also enjoying a good run at the box office despite being in theatres for almost a month.
