Dinesh Vijan's production venture Luka Chuppi is still going strong at the Indian box office. Starring Kartik Aaryan in the lead along with Kriti Sanon, the film came out on March 1 and impressed the audience big time. After witnessing a huge opening, Luka Chuppi soon went on to enter the Rs 50 crore club and was declared a hit by trade analysts. The romantic, which is directed by Laxman Utekar, also features Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi and Vinay Pathak in pivotal roles. While Kartik starrer has been rock solid at the ticket windows since day 1, yesterday the film further saw slight growth in its collection. Luka Chuppi Box Office Collection Day 18: Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon's Film Fares Well on its Third Monday, Mints Rs 83.84 Crore.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the popular microblogging site Twitter a while back and revealed the updated figures. He wrote, "#LukaChuppi stays strong... Witnesses marginal growth on [third] Tue [vis-à-vis third Mon]... Crosses ₹ 85 cr... [Week 3] Fri 1.62 cr, Sat 2.25 cr, Sun 3.40 cr, Mon 1.33 cr, Tue 1.35 cr. Total: ₹ 85.19 cr. India biz."

Apart from being Kartik's first hit of this year, Luka Chuppi is also his biggest opener to date. The rom-com achieved this feat by beating Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. As for Kriti, her last film which tasted success at the box office was Bareilly Ki Barfi which released in 2017. After that, the actress went missing from the big screen for a while but now she is back with a bang courtesy her latest outing. Luka Chuppi Box Office Collection Day 17: Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon's Rom-Com Fares Well Over the Third Weekend, Rakes in Rs 82.51 Crore.

Interestingly, Luka Chuppi wasn't a solo release and yet it managed to get cash registers ringing and how! The film released alongside Sushant Singh Rajput's Sonchiriya but the latter failed miserably at the box office. What's more commendable is the fact that Luka Chuppi has continued to draw the audience to the cinema halls despite films like Badla and Captain Marvel arriving in theatres.
