Veteran actress Nafisa Ali's fans were shocked to learn about her new fight with cancer. The actress had shared this rather sad news via an Instagram post and we took considerable time to digest this big news. In her recent conversation with Mumbai Mirror, Nafisa revealed she's overwhelmed to receive so much affection from her fans and was unaware about their kindness. It started with a mere abdominal pain two months back and she visited a doctor in Delhi for the same. But when the pain refused to subside even after a five-day antibiotic course, she went for further examination. The CT scan reports and biopsy then revealed that she is suffering from primary peritoneal cancer.

However, Nafisa is ready to face this deadly battle and she wishes to get well by June next year. “My children are the reason for me to overcome cancer. My daughter is three months pregnant, she’s due in the first week of June. I have to get better by then in time to welcome my third grandchild,” she said. The actress will undergo a surgery that will assess the extent of the disease and remove all visible traces and certain organs.
